Dr. Maharjan is a retired Professor of Health and Physical Education at Faculty of Education, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He has more than 50 years of experience in teaching and research. He is one of the pioneers of developing Health and Physical Education and Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) materials in Nepal. He has been massively involved in training of teachers, trainers and government officers on CSE and research as well. He has contributed in developing curriculum from grade one to the university level in health and physical education, sports science and sports management. He has conducted several short-term teacher-training programmes in school and campus level. Prof. Maharjan has also worked as a resource person in several teacher-training programmes as well as trainers' training programmes. He presented national papers on physical education and health education in international seminars organised in South Korea, Japan and Kenya. He also worked as a principal of a secondary school for 11 years. He is a textbook writer of school and campus level. He advised more than 100 Master Degree's theses and he has produced 20 Ph. D. and M. Phil scholars. He is interested in training, research, administration and teaching especially in the field of education. Prof. Maharjan is an expert in proposal writing, report writing, textbook writing, training manual writing and teacher training.
